Perryville kidnapping suspect arrested

Perryville, Missouri, police officers and Perry County sheriff’s deputies arrested kidnapping suspect Danny C. Keeton, 59, of Perryville about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at an address on Route B.

Keeton is charged with kidnapping, first-degree burglary and third-degree misdemeanor assault.

He is accused of taking his 2-year-old granddaughter on Sunday in the 700 block of Winkler Drive. He was detained Sunday after he brought the child to her biological father. The 24-hour hold on Keeton expired Monday, however, as police were pursuing an arrest warrant, and he was released.

Keeton’s bond was set at $25,000, cash only.
