__What do you believe are the biggest issues facing the recorder of deeds office and how do you propose to address them?:__

Advancing technology within the budget. E-Recording has just been introduced to the office so I would also look into digitizing records, updating payment methods, e-mailing confirmations of recording documents so the customer doesn't have to wait for the originals to be returned.

We will also stay in close communication with the Recorder's Association of Missouri for all training and updates.

__How will you evaluate your performance in the office?:__

I would start by updating the current website to have a survey link for our customers to fill out on how their transactions were handled and rating our customer service performance. Customer service is very important so we will strive to provide a friendly and inviting atmosphere to our customers.

__What do you believe can be done to keep the county fiscally stable?:__

Stay within the budget and to use it wisely. I will correspond with the surrounding counties Recorder's of Deeds offices to see what they have purchased to update technology and what has been most useful and has benefited their office the most. I will have close communication with the current and in-coming office holders, I think we should all research different grant programs to see what's available.

__What makes you the best candidate for the position?:__

I have strong communication skills and over 25 yrs experience in customer service and working with the public which includes 10 yrs management experience. I am honest, hard working and dedicated. Our county needs positive change for the future and I think it's time for new faces and new ideas to make Perry county prosper.
