__What do you believe are the biggest issues facing the recorder of deeds office and how do you propose to address them?:__
The most important and immediate issue facing the Recorder's Office is actually a matrix of concerns involving technology standards, security considerations, a better understanding of threats and vulnerabilities, disaster preparedness and recovery; best practices for recording images, and
better communication with citizens both in person and online. I will address these issues by educating myself on the best practices of other successful offices and bring these possible solutions to the community for discussion.
__How will you evaluate your performance in the office?:__
I believe that self-evaluation is important. I will regularly evaluate my performance to ensure efficient and friendly service is rendered to our citizens. I will also institute a way for our citizens to contribute meaningful feedback on their service and concerns.
__What do you believe can be done to keep the county fiscally stable?:__
I will run our office within the parameters of the existing budget. It will be necessary to communicate with all county offices who deal with finances in order to share existing and upcoming financial needs.
__What makes you the best candidate for the position?:__
I am a life-long Perry County resident and I love this community. I am currently an Alderman (Ward II) in Perryville and this position has given me a taste of dedicated service.
