PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Authorities in Perry County are looking for a man they say ran over a calf and through a cornfield with his car while being chased by a highway patrol trooper.
Perry County Sheriff Gary Schaaf said Jason Bartlett, 24, of Perryville had no warrants out for his arrest but refused to pull over his vehicle for a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper Tuesday while he was driving south on Route B in Perry County. Schaaf said the trooper tried to stop Bartlett because he knew he was driving without a valid license. Bartlett had been ticketed in the past few weeks.
After Bartlett allegedly ran over the calf and through the cornfield, he exited his vehicle and fled on foot, Schaaf said.
Anyone with information on Bartlett's whereabouts is asked to call the Perry County Sheriff's Department at 573-47-4576.
