Freeman Lewis, seated, looks over the men's No. 2 tee box at the renovated Jaycee Municipal Golf Course with Bryce March, below, Ralph Maxton, left, and Doc Holladay during a preview Monday, June 7, 2010, at the course, which opens Friday. All 18 greens and the putting green were converted from Bermuda gras to bentgrass. The irrigation system on the entire course was revamped, holes 11 to 15 were rerouted and many other small improvements were made to the course. The renovation was funded by the Parks and Recreation/storm-water sales tax approved by voters in 2009.
