The Cape Central Marching Tigers Band received another trophy Oct. 19 for placing 5th in the Gold Division at the Greater St. Louis Band Festival at the Edward Jones Dome.

Forty-eight high school bands from three states participated in the competition, with 12 bands in each of four divisions.

Just seven points separated the top five bands in the highly competitive Gold Division. Central's score was 86.6. St. Charles West won first place with a score of 93.5.

In addition, the Marching Tigers captured the Grand Prize for highest ticket sales percentage, with more than 400 tickets sold to the event. This year's prize was an equipment trailer.

The Tigers have won this award for the last several years.
