Students at Franklin Elementary School tell about the people they admire most.
Angel C. Graham: "I admire Laura Ingalls Wilder because she is the author of many of my favorite books. When I am grown, I hope to be like her."
David Nall: "I admire Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf. I want to be in the Air Force and he was in it. Even though I have to get straight A's, I will do it."
Cabell Gathman: "I admire Roberta Williams because she is able to capture the fantasies of children and put them in the story lines of Sierra computer games while encouraging peaceful moves."
David Robertson: "One person I look up to is Jim Abbott. He doesn't have a right arm, but still he is a pitcher for the Angels. Someone like that who pitches for a big league team sure is my hero!"
Tameka Harris: "I admire MC Hammer because he's got taste and knows how to dance. He does some of the most amazing dances that I can't do. He is one of my favorite stars."
Susan Smith: "I admire the soldiers who fought in the Persian Gulf War more than anyone else. You have to be brave to do that. Knowing that you may never see your family again is a hard fact to cope with."
