The Southeast Missourian asked people about their television viewing of the Summer Olympics.

Danny Borneman: "I watch just about everything for about four hours a night, but especially the basketball. The USA Dream Team is just awesome. I think they have been playing only 80 percent of what they could play."

Angie Bender: "I've been watching for a couple of hours just about every night. Swimming is my favorite and I also like the gymnastics. It's neat to see because sports are so seasonal. I like to be able to see different sports on different nights."

Bruce Ellis: "I've watched mostly the women's gymnastics. I especially like the floor exercise. I would like to watch some of the basketball and the track and field. The Olympics is about the only good thing to watch on TV late at night."

Ann Freeman: "Our family has been watching the Olympics every day. I like to watch the gymnastics and all the swimming. My daughter is a swimmer and she gets real excited for the swimmers. My son likes the track and field.

Woody Bengoa: "I love watching the gymnastics and the team volleyball, also the swimming when I can. I watched two days pretty solid and the rest now and then. I am gladly giving up watching the Simpsons and Parker Lewis for the Olympics."

Libby Roeger: "My family has been watching every day every chance we get. I'm mostly interested in the swimming. I like the way they have shown music videos by cutting in pictures of the athletes competing in the events."
