The Southeast Missourian asked people, "Are you planning to take a vacation this summer? Where are you going and was your decision affected by the air fare reductions?
Winfred Wren: "I am pastor of a church, so if I went somewhere it would probably be to a convention. I would take advantage of the air fares if I was taking a long distance trip."
Scott Browning: "I probably won't take a real vacation, maybe a couple of weekend trips, to Six Flags and Hannibal. The fare reductions did not affect my decision at all."
Lori Simpson: "I am going to Dallas Texas, to visit a friend. I found out that a round trip to Dallas was only $125, so I took the airlines up on their offer."
Ted Holmes: "We are going to visit relatives in Iowa and Nebraska. We like to drive and take it easy, stopping whenever we want, since we're both retired."
Charles Stiver: "I am going wherever there's a good golf course. I was going to go to New York to see my son and daughter-in-law, but couldn't catch the good air fares in time."
Beth Winchester: "I am taking a trip to Chicago to help start churches in the inner city. The change in plane fares did not affect us."
