The Southeast Missourian asked people what What they have to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.
William Hasler, Fruitland:
"Most of all, my family. All of them are alive and doing well. I'm thankful we make enough money to live on. There's a lot of things to be thankful for, but most of all you're thankful for your family and being well is the biggest thing in life. From there on you can make it."
Ken Whitehorn, St. Louis:
"The thing I think I'm most thankful for is my life. Also my parents and my little daughter. I was blessed with a little daughter. She's two years old now. I guess I'm more or less just thankful for their lives and my life. Just being the person that I am today."
Scott Hetrick, Spring Lake, Mich.:
"Basically, my family, my sister, my parents, good friends."
Ann Stackle, St. Louis:
"I'm thankful that I will actually be together with my husband and my daughter on Thanksgiving. That's the thing I will be thankful for that we will all three be together in the same place."
Heidi Whitmer, Herculaneum:
"Thankful that our area survived the flood. Everyone is healthy.
Melissa Chambers, St. Louis:
"My family, my friends, my church is almost finished. We'll be able to move in pretty soon. Surviving the floods, finding a new apartment, passing my classes."
