What do you think about St. Louis getting a professional football expansion team?

Derrick Long, Cape Girardeau:

"I think it would be great. It would give us a team near here. Everyone enjoyed going to watch the St. Louis Cardinals when it was here five years ago and Bill Bidwell had to get rid of it (the Cardinals) so if we have new partnership in charge of it I think it would be good for kids and parents to go watch it. It's good for the area."

Brian Geringer, Perryville:

"I think it would be great for them to get a team actually. The only thing I don't like about it is the name Stallions. Out of the rest four cities left I think St. Louis is the best propect for the NFL if you ask me. They (St. Louis) has the highest population, the highest TV market, they're already in the dome stadium. Everything's in their favor, but the only problem is the financing group."

Dennis Lockhart, Cape Girardeau:

"I think it would be great for the whole area. I play football here at SEMO and I just think it would be great myself. I think it (the financing) would be stable. I think it would be good for the kids area and business all the way around. If anyone wants to see a professional game they have to drive all the way to Kansas City. I know a lot of guys who drive to Kansas City just to see a game."

Robert Chronister, Cape Girardeau:

"I think that (St. Louis) being one of the larger metropolitan areas in the United States they deserve it. They have the qualifications, the big market. I think a lot of people missed it (football) that didn't know they were going to."

Shawn Wheeler, Cape Girardeau:

"I think it's a very good idea. I've always followed football and I was kind of a fan of the Cardinals when they left and I still kind of like them now. It's better if you have your own team to root for instead of having to pick one somewhere else. I think our fans for our baseball team Cardinals are pretty good. I really think that everybody will support the football team since they miss it since it's not here anymore."

Jennifer Wheeler, Dexter:

"I think it would be great because it's fun to go in the fall and watch a professional football game. I miss the Cardinals not being here. I've always lived in a city where...like Washington D.C...the Washington Red Skins and it's just great to sit around the TV and watch your hometown team play."
