A pedestrian struck by a driver late Sunday was believed to have been drinking, Cape Girardeau Police Department spokesman Cpl. Adam Glueck said today.

A pedestrian struck by a driver late Sunday was believed to have been drinking, Cape Girardeau Police Department spokesman Cpl. Adam Glueck said today. Around 10:29 p.m. a Cape Girardeau man was walking on a sidewalk near Independence and Keller streets when he stumbled into traffic. A vehicle then struck the pedestrian, who was taken by ambulance to a Cape Girardeau hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. No charges have been filed.
