Professional Business Systems has added to its product line a new electronic cash register designed specifically for convenience stores. PBS is one of the first dealers in the area to offer the TEC FT-40 Convenience Store System.
Representative Mark London said the system has a unique gas pump readout built into the system with a separate screen. "This system features UPC scanning, inventory control, extensive reporting capability and a unique split screen that allows a clerk to control the gas pumps while ringing up sales," he said. The keyboard can be programmed for individual store needs.
London recently attended a one-week training session in Los Angeles on sales and service of the system.
He said Casey's General Stores recently selected the system for its 759 convenience stores after a six-month evaluation.
PBS specializes in electronic cash register systems, which are produced by TEC and NCR, and in electronic scales and computer systems. The company has offices in Cape Girardeau, St. Louis and Marion, Ill. Terry Pool of Cape Girardeau heads the company.
