Swarm of children line 18-block parade route through downtown business area to get first view of season of Santa Claus, who, on his sleigh, is center of attraction in line of march; at end of parade route, old gentleman passes out hundreds of bags of candy to youngsters, and then settles down to interview children in his specially-built house in Courthouse Park.
Although price trend of eggs has been going down in other places, situation in Cape Girardeau is different; retail prices have taken several jumps past few weeks, during which time price rose from between 45 to 48 cents a dozen to present price range of from 60 to 70 cents.
