  • From 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, PWP will have a general meeting/orientation at Riverside Regional Library on Union and Adams streets in Jackson. The event is free and open to the public. A program on wine-making will be presented by Jim Diebold and Pat Hill. Guests or prospective members are welcome and may stay to play cards.
  • Line dance lessons from 7 to 9 p.m. June 6, 13, 20 and 27 at Eagles Aerie 3775, 321 N. Spring Ave., Cape Girardeau. Beginner lessons start at 6 p.m. There is a cost for the event, which is open to the public.
  • Cardmania, an evening of cards and other games, will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. June 8 at Riverside Regional Library. The event is free and open to the public.
  • Dinner theater event with dinner at 6 p.m. The show begins at 7 p.m. June 9 at Marble Hill's dinner theater, Crooked Creek, Mo. Meet at Country Mart in Jackson to carpool. There is a cost.
  • PWP will participate in the Relay For Life from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. June 15 through 16 at Capaha Park in Cape Girardeau.
  • A singles dance sponsored by Parents Without Partners will be held from 8 p.m. to midnight June 16 at the VFW in Cape Girardeau. The event is open to the public. Music will be provided by "Let's Dance" and the theme is June Bug Stomp. The cost is discounted for members.
  • PWP will hold a board/orientation meeting from 7 to 8:30 p.m. June 22 at Riverside Regional Library. The event is free and open to the public. Guests or prospective members are welcome and may stay to play cards.
  • Meet at 3 p.m. June 23 at D-Mart in Fruitland to carpool to the Muny in St. Louis to attend the production of "Oklahoma." The show begins at 8 p.m. There is a cost.
  • PWP will attend lawnmower races at 1 p.m. June 30 in Allenville. To carpool, meet at noon at Country Mart in Jackson or at 12:15 p.m. at the commuter parking lot near Wal-Mart in Cape Girardeau. Bring a lawn chair or blanket.
