A workshop focusing on parental involvement in the classroom will be held Tuesday at Cape Girardeau Central High School.

The workshop is being sponsored by the Southeast District Professional Development Cooperative.

The speaker for this presentation is Dan Clark, a master storyteller and solution technician. He is author of several books, including "Getting High How to Really Do it."

He will discuss strategies to involve parents in the school community. Teachers and parents will have an opportunity to learn how to improve communication and build stronger partnerships with parents.

Clark is chairman of Dan Clark and Associates a corporation specializing in human resource development and management/sales training. He is also an award winning athlete who fought his way back from a paralyzing injury that cut short his football career. He has an inspirational rehabilitation story to tell.

The program will be held from 4:45-8:30 p.m. with a dinner break. The workshop is free. An optional meal is available for $5.
