PARENT-TO-PARENT PROGRAM SLATED; TOPIC WILL BE STRESS MANAGEMENT

PERRYVILLE -- Parent-To-Parent is sponsoring a program entitled "Stress Management for Parents With Special Needs Children" Wednesday at the Perry County Memorial Hospital classroom.

The program will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Topics for the session will include:

Dealing with the frustrations that children bring home;

Recognizing changes and additional challenges that children go through in their development, particularly adolescence;

Nurturing and strengthening the relationship of the parents themselves.

The presenter, Doris Sutterer, is a children's therapist and emergency/crisis therapist at the Community Counseling Center. In addition to therapy, she has a background in teaching and nursing and has a master's degree in psychological counseling.
