SIKESTON -- Country western singer Pam Tillis will perform Wednesday at the Sikeston Jaycee Rodeo.

Tillis replaces Tracy Lawrence, who is hospitalized with an illness.

The daughter of Mel Tillis, Pam Tillis has had a string of hits the last several years including "Maybe It Was Memphis" and "Queen of Denial."

"The Jaycees were able to negotiate for her," said Tom Nunnelee from the Jaycees. "She had an open date Wednesday and Thursday and she was in Ohio.

"She's agreed to fill in on 36 hours notice. We feel fortunate that we were able to get replacement of her caliber on such short notice."

Tickets are still available for Wednesday's opening night of the 41st annual rodeo.
