Two men arrested following a suspected drug deal pleaded innocent Monday to related charges. Terrance O. Gardner, 22, of Cairo, Ill., and Manuel L. Landa, 38, of 116 N. Henderson Ave., each entered their plea during an appearance before Circuit Court Judge Benjamin Lewis. Gardner was charged with felony distribution of crack cocaine and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. Landa was charged with felony possession of crack cocaine and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. Both men were arrested June 14 when an officer saw what he believed to be a drug deal in the 300 block of South Hanover Street. Cocaine and marijuana were found on the defendants, police said.
