PADUCAH, Ky. The Woman's Club of Paducah is seeking entries for their 56th annual art show.
The show will be exhibited April 20-May 4 in City Hall as part of the Dogwood Celebration and the American Quilter's Society Convention and Quilt Show.
Competition is open to artists in Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky and Tennessee.
Categories include oils, acrylics, water colors, drawing, pastels, mixed media, student (elementary, middle and high school), handicapped artist and first-time entry.
To enter the first-time category, artists must never have entered a judged show before.
Painting must be framed or stripped with a hanging wire. Drawings must be on a stiff mat. Prize money and ribbons will be awarded.
All entries must be hand-delivered April 20 between 9 a.m. and noon
Entry fees are $5 for one item, $8 for two and $10 for three. Student and handicapped artists will pay $2 each or three items for $5.
The judge for this show will be Dean Davis, a professional painter and teacher from Evansville, Ill.
