The recently refurbished organ at Hanover Lutheran Church, 2949 Perryville Road, will be dedicated during the 10 a.m. worship service Sunday.
Selections will be played on the organ by Kendra Ruesler, minister of music.
The refurbishing included a set of 21 chimes, an eight-foot principal, and new solid state coupler and relay system. The work was contracted to Wicks Organ Co., builder of the organ.
The work was made possible by a gift from the estate of Mildred and Norman Kelpe, longtime members of Hanover and active in various organizations of the church. She was also church secretary 11 years. Mrs. Kelpe died in June 1983 and Mr. Kelpe died in January 1994.
Attending the service will be the Kelpe's children, Paul Kelpe of St. Louis and Ruth Wagner of Wheeling, W.Va. Also attending will be Kelpe's wife, Corona "Topsy" Grojean Brucker Kelpe of Cape Girardeau.
A reception will be held after the service, sponsored by the Ladies Aid.
The public is invited.
