ORAN - Five Oran High School students earned state awards during the 33rd annual Missouri FBLA State Leadership Conference held in Jefferson City last month. Several students from the Oran chapter of the FBLA were among the 1,700 FBLA students and advisers who attended.

Sophomore Rebeccah Nothdurft won first place in the Keyboarding Applications (Typewriting I) event. She is eligible to compete at the national level in Chicago, Ill. on June 30-July 3.

Other state winners from Oran High School include: sophomores Dana Heisserer, Brandi Hahn, Kari Mansker, and Monica Moyers, who won second place in the local chapter exhibit event. Other Oran High School FBLA students who competed in the state contests were Amy Bryeans and Crystal Watkins.

Oran High School FBLA advisers Rene Pingel and Patricia Happe accompanied the students.
