PUXICO, Mo. - An Oran man was ejected from his vehicle Sunday morning but escaped with moderate injuries.
The accident occurred around 5:10 a.m. when William R. Harris, 21, of Oran was driving his 2007 Nissan on Highway 51, the Missouri Highway Patrol reported. The Nissan ran off the right side of the roadway, struck a ditch, overturned and ejected Harris.
He was taken by air evac to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Two female teenage passengers in the car were taken by ambulance to the medical center, where they were treated for minor injuries. The Nissan was totaled.
The highway patrol said Harris was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
