An Oran, Missouri, man was arrested and charged with stealing Friday.
James K. Aurelio, 38, has been charged with three misdemeanor counts of theft under $500.
The Scott County Sheriff's Office received reports last week of thefts from storage units near Oran, with laminate flooring and power tools being the primary items stolen.
On Friday afternoon, an investigator was following up on leads when he made contact with Aurelio at a residence near the crime scene, a news release from the sheriff's office said.
While talking to Aurelio, the investigator saw laminate flooring being installed inside the house. The flooring and powers tools later were identified as stolen from the storage units.
Online court records show Aurelio was charged with previous theft misdemeanors in 2014, for which he served 30 days in the county jail.
On Tuesday afternoon, Aurelio remained in the Scott County Jail on a $7,500 bond.
