ORAN K OF C SPONSORS JULY 4 PICNIC

ORAN -- The Oran Knights of Columbus have announced their annual July 4 picnic. All activities will be held at the Knights of Columbus grounds on Highway 77.

The picnic is an 80-year tradition that allows friends and family to gather in Oran.

A family-style dinner will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and again from 4 to 7 p.m. The cost for the dinner is $5.50 for adults and $2.50 for children age 6 to 12.

A horseshoe tournament begins at noon and other games will be held during the afternoon. Entry fees for the tournament are $5. Registration begins at noon.

Other attractions include an antique gasoline engine display, western wagon rides and a dance from 8 to midnight. Admission to the dance is $2.

A fireworks display will begin at 10:30 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus grounds.
