A long holiday weekend resulted in just one fatal accident across Missouri. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 19-year-old Austin C. Turner of Golden, Mo., was the only person to die in 350 car crashes over the counting period that began last Wednesday and ended at midnight Monday. Turner died when his car ran off Barry County Route J, hit a tree and burned. The patrol says Turner was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash Wednesday night. A passenger in the vehicle was wearing a seat belt and survived with injuries.
