A Perryville, Mo., motorist died and a passenger was injured Monday when their truck struck a tree in Central Perry County.

Driver Gracie A. Hutchinson, 69, received serious injuries and was taken by helicopter to Saint Francis Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. Passenger Timothy J. Hutchinson, 23, received minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Perry County Memorial Hospital. The accident reportedly occurred at 7:10 a.m. on Route T, a half mile north of County Road 702. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when the 2003 Dodge truck traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.

Two Marble Hill, Mo., people were injured on Monday when their vehicle struck a horse, and then two other vehicles in east Bollinger County.

In a 2000 KIA, driver Tracy L. Goddard, 42, received serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center. Passenger Charles E. Hicks, 53, received minor injuries and declined treatment at the scene. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Goddard's vehicle struck a horse with its front, crossed over the center line and struck the other two vehicles.

In a 1990 Ford vehicle, Noreatta J. Welker, 53, of Millersville, Mo., received no injuries. In a 2002 Toyota, Ashley M. Welker, 19, of Jackson, also received no injuries. The accident reportedly occurred at 6:10 a.m. on Route UU, three miles east of Scopus, Mo.
