The Illinois State Police District 22 responded to the crash at about 2:40 a.m. The vehicle attempted to exit I-57 at milepost 1 when the truck failed to negotiate a curve in the exit ramp. The truck left the roadway and overturned.
The driver, Wayne O. Brown, 74, was taken to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau by Pulaski County emergency medical service with non-life-threatening injuries. He was wearing his seat belt. No citations were issued.
