One dead, one seriously hurt in accident

One person is dead and another seriously injured in a collision that occurred at 8:15 a.m. Thursday on Missouri Highway 72 about four miles west of Millersville, according to a State Highway Patrol crash report.

Rose M. Yamnitz, 79, of Patton, Mo., died in the crash.

Sarah M. McFall, 29, of Scott City was taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center, the report said.

McFall was driving a 1997 Ford F150 pickup west, and Yamnitz was driving a 2002 Buick Century east on Highway 72.

The accident occurred when the F150 crossed the center line and struck the Buick, the report said.

Bollinger County Coroner Charlie Hutchings pronounced Yamnitz dead at the scene, the report said.
