The Southeast Missourian asked people, "Does America need a third major political party?"
Bob Etherton: "I think two parties can handle any situation we have. I don't think a third party would necessarily hurt, but it might add to confusion."
Debbi Browne: "I don't think it's necessary to have a third party by organization, but people can have as many opinions as they want. If someone wants to run, it's freedom of choice in America."
Bob Morrow: "If our political parties were working correctly today, we would not have a need for another one. I don't think the parties are giving us good quality candidates."
Glenn Reeves: "I think a third party would dilute the whole system. We need to take the majority we have now in Congress and get all the corrections made, and do it fast."
Melissa Isaacs: "Let's have another party. Let's see if we can improve this country. Right now the Republicans think they're high and mighty, and the Democrats still think they are high and mighty. Let the people talk."
