This week the Southeast Missourian asked, "How do you feel about making Broadway a one-way street?"
Robert England, Cape Girardeau
"I don't think it's a very good suggestion. You always have so much traffic going up and down it. It's such a huge street. I think the only reason they want to do it is because teen-agers block it up on Friday and Saturday night."
Susan Niswonger, Cape Girardeau
"I think they should widen it. It should be one way down to the river. There would be a lot fewer accidents."
Kathy Davenport, Jackson
"Definitely not. It's fine the way it is. It would be such a horrible mess to get around town and you'd have to through sections that you wouldn't want to. You'd get lost. I think it's a terrible idea. It would be too confusing."
Terry Swofford, Marquand
"It would be a pain. I was like that before and it was harder to turn around and come back. You know you had to always go on side streets to come back. It was more inconvient."
Juanita Henley, Cape Girardeau
"I think it would help the traffic move quicker. However, I believe that we should have an artery to return. It should decrease accidents. I think it probably decrease some of the unnecessary traffic."
