This week the Southeast Missourian asked, "What do you think of the feasibility study for a proposed Interstate 66 route through Southern Missouri?"
Bill Cook, Cape Girardeau
"I think it's long been needed and I'm glad they're going to do the study and hopefully within a short time get a highway across the southern part of the state."
Laura Hurst, Cape Girardeau
"I think it would be a good idea. It would make it easier for students and families to travel back and forth so there are less accidents."
Tom Spitzmiller, Cape Girardeau
"Well, I think the study should be made. I think they have done that in the past and determined maybe then that it was too costly. But the study I think is fine and hopefully they'll find that the highway is something that can be built, which I think would be a real boon to Missouri."
Dale Todt, Jackson
"I would say yeah. They should build it because anything that brings cars to this area... They'll break down you know and that's my job, so I'm thinking, Hey."
Les Wibbenmeyer, Cape Girardeau
"I think the interstate is needed in Southeast Missouri. We need an east-west corridor down here whether it runs through Cape Girardeau or where."
