This week the Southeast Missourian asked, "What do you think of the law that was recently passed that allows 18-20-year-olds to sell alcohol?"
Phil Finney, Cape Girardeau
"If you can't consume it I don't see how you can sell it."
Orville Krauss, Cape Girardeau
"I don't think it's a good law. I think number one, alcohol is something that there needs to be more control over and that just shows less control I guess."
Jack Atwood, Anna, Ill.
"I don't like it. At least at 21 you've got a little more responsibility."
Stanley Krapf, Oran
"I think it's all right. I think they should be able to sell it just as long as they're responsible about it. Not selling to other friends that come in there underage and stuff like that. It's more convenient for everybody else because you don't have to wait on everybody or somebody that's 21."
Richard Harter, Cape Girardeau
"I think the net result will be a lot more younger people drinking because they will sell to their friends. They will be less likely to card their friends. I know when I was underage I sold to my friends who were underage."
