This week the Southeast Missourian asked, "What do you think about women officiating men's NBA games?"
Bill Hart, Cape Girardeau
"I think it's great. They've got to do better than Howard Cosell."
Steve Whitworth, St. Charles
"I don't think it's that bad. If they can keep up with it and keep going. If they can handle the players the way the men officers do and not be scared to talk to them because they are so much bigger and stronger then I don't think it would be a problem."
Anthony Beane, Cape Girardeau
"I think it's going to be interesting. It will give us a chance to see how the women ... how aggressive they will be. Especially in the NBA it's real rough and really tough and we'll get a chance to see how aggressive those officials will be."
Jaime Neff, St. Joseph
"Yeah, sure, why not? I mean they know what they're doing. Why not?"
Moneik Campbell, West Memphis, Ark.
"I think it's about equal opportunity for women. If men can officiate the women why can't the women officiate the men? But also, as far as them being intimidated they know what they are expecting going in knowing the players like Dennis Rodman. They know what they're doing going in."
