OLPRYLAND FOLKS VISIT MONDAY

Opryland USA's ambassador of goodwill, Professor U.B. Sharp, will visit three Cape Girardeau schools Monday with a musical program designed to promote the virtues of friendship among elementary school students.

The Opryland Kids Club Friendship Tour beings an interactive program of singing, riddles, ventriloquism and self-esteem building. Opryland debuted the tour in Tennessee in 1992. In 1994, it will travel to roughly 70 schools and children's hospitals in Missouri, Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana and Alabama.

Local schools on the tour are Jefferson, Clippard and Franklin. The half-hour program features Professor U.B. Sharp and his assistant, Alex. They are joined by the ventriloquism act of Shannon and Rod. The performance is based on the Professor's show at Opryland.
