OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. The 16th annual Labor Day Festival will be held Monday, Sept. 2 in Olive Branch. The festival is sponsored by the Olive Branch Cemetery Association.
Beginning at 6 a.m. with a pancake breakfast, the day will be filled with good food, games and entertainment.
A country store will be open all day with arts and crafts, needlework, white elephant items, home canning and garden produce offered for sale.
Contributions for this project may be brought to Myrtle Denfio's mobile home next to the Methodist Church or brought to the festival. Persons should call 776-5433 or 776-5505 to have an article picked up.
This year's entertainment will include the senior citizens' band at 10 a.m., the County Line Band at 11 a.m., the Coyote Creed Band at 12:30 p.m., Robert McCallister Pantomime at 1 p.m.; the Sharecroppers at 2 p.m.; the John King Quartet at 4 p.m.; and the Trinity Singers at 5:30 p.m.
Prizes, including a gas grill, VCR, cordless phone, and bicycle, will be awarded at 6 p.m.
