Fifty Fabulous Features results are in, and judging from entries in Old Town Cape's "50 Fabulous Features" contest, there's something for everyone in the wide area that makes up the city's historic district.

Old Town Cape promotions committee chairman Marsha Toll said more than 300 entries noting a particular feature were received for the contest.

Old Town Cape executive director Catherine Dunlap said the organization will encourage merchants to spotlight some of the winning features in their advertising.

Grand prize winner Noretta Blattner will be hostess at a dinner party for 12 catered by Celebrations Restaurant at the Southeast Missouri State University River Campus.

Blattner's winning entry was "Riverboats whistle, trains rumble by, fireworks exploding illuminate the sky."

Recipient of a photography sitting offered by Neumeyer Photography was Roscoe Newbern. His winning entry was "Blues music fills the air around old clock square."

Donna Gertis won a set of Old Town Cape Christmas ornaments. Her entry was randomly selected from the 50 entries making up the final list.

A team of community leaders and marketing professionals selected the winning entries.

All winners will receive a T-shirt imprinted with the "Fab 50."

The shirt is being designed by Red Letter Communications, Toll said. Design is under way on a "50 Fabulous Features" poster as well.

In addition to Red Letter Communications, other contest sponsors were Horizon Screen Printing and Promotional Products, the Southeast Missourian, Concord Printing, Holiday Happenings, My Daddy's Cheesecake, Jan's In the Wine Cellar and KFVS12.
