The Southeast Chamber Players will perform a concert at 3 p.m. today in Old St. Vincent's Church.
The concert will feature a variety of wind chamber music, including marches by Franz Joseph Haydn and the famous philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Charles Gounod's Petite Symphonie, a serenade by Mozart and an arrangement of the overture from "The Barber of Seville."
The performance of the Southeast Chamber Players is sponsored by the SEMO Council on the Arts with financial assistance provided by the Missouri Arts Council. Admission is free, but offerings will be accepted.
The Southeast Chamber Players was formed a year ago by area musicians to provide our community with quality chamber music. The 14-member ensemble is comprised of Southeast music faculty and area music teachers. Members commute from as far away as Mountain Grove and Corning, Ark.
