A Kelly Schools bus driver is on leave while officials investigate an altercation on a school bus Friday after school, according to school resource officer Lee Dodd.

He said students were allegedly involved in an altercation with the bus driver, but he did not release details.

Dodd said parents called the school and reported the incident, which happened shortly after school. The bus driver was put on leave that evening, he said.

Dodd said he is conducting the investigation with Superintendent Don Moore and the Scott County Sheriff's Department. He said there is timeline for the investigation, which will include interviews from students, parents and the bus driver.

"That's unclear depending on how many witnesses we talk to," he said.
