"Using Sporting Events to Promote the Community" will be presented by Ken Antee of the Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission and the Independence Bowl Committee on Oct. 28 at Southeast Missouri State University.
Antee will be the featured speaker at the Department of Health, Human Performance and Recreation's 19th installment of its Distinguished Lecturer Series. The event is scheduled for 6 p.m. in Crisp Hall, Room 125. Admission is free.
The lecture is sponsored by Cyclewerx, the Department of Health, Human Performance and Recreation and the College of Health and Human Services.
Antee has practiced law in Shreveport, Louisiana, for 25 years and is a partner of Wilhite Solar Solutions LLC, serving as its president. Antee worked as the chief administrative officer for the city of Shreveport for Mayor Keith Hightower from 1998 to 2006.
