Minor's Harley-Davidson & Suzuki Sales Inc. is observing its 20th anniversary, but the Harley dealership has been in Cape Girardeau almost twice that long.
"We acquired the business in 1971," said Charles E. (Sonny) Minor. "We've been in our present location 905 Enterprise 15 years."
Minor and his wife, Barb, became owners of the dealership when it was located at 21 S. Main in downtown Cape Girardeau.
"My father Ed Minor started the Harley-Davidson business in Cape Girardeau in 1952," said Miner. "He kept it until 1965. We picked it up in 1971."
Minor added the Suzuki line 10 years ago.
Minor is offering several specials during the anniversary celebration.
"We're also giving an anniversary prize," he said. "We'll give away a leather jacket Sept. 12.
