Bobby Smith

BUNCOMBE, ILL. -- Bobby Eugene Smith, 59, of Buncombe, Ill., died Saturday July 26, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born June 16, 1938, in Raleigh, N.C., the son of Linwood D. and Willie Mae Ware Smith.

He was a deck hand on the barge lines.

Survivors include his wife, Kate, of Buncombe; four sons, Bobby Smith of Peoria, Walter Smith of Pomona, Elmer Tellor of Royalton and Floyd Tellor of Buncombe; two daughters, Darlene Brown of Jonesboro and Belinda Patterson of Carbondale; a sister, Shirley Miller of Raleigh; a brother, Larry Smith of Raleigh; 21 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A son preceded him in death.

Friends may call after 9 a.m Tuesday at Lutz & Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Janet Lindsey and George Miller officiating. Burial will be in Kelley Cemetery near Cobden.
