CHICAGO (AP) -- President-elect Barack Obama say he has not been contacted by federal authorities in connection with the investigation of Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

The Illinois Democrat also told a news conference that neither he nor members of his staff have been involved in deal-making with the disgraced governor over Obama's vacated seat in the U.S. Senate.

Since Blagojevich's arrest, Obama's team has been besieged by questions about any possible connections it may have had with the discussions captured by authorities on tape.
