Library will be closed Friday in observance of Veterans Day and Nov. 24 for Thanksgiving.

* At 7 p.m. Monday, "Native American Genealogy," program designed for those who are researching ancestors or have an interest in American Indian heritage, will be held at the library. Presented by Paul White Eagle.

* At 7 p.m. Nov. 17, knitting club meets. All ages and skill levels. Bring needles and yarn; at 7:30 p.m. the book discussion group will discuss, "No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency" in the Hirsch Community Room.

* At 7 p.m. Nov. 28, Poetry Coffee House will feature "Native People: Poets and Poetry." Readers and listeners welcome.

* Registration and purchase of a craft kit are required by Nov. 18 for the upcoming 7 p.m. Nov. 29 Christmas craft at the library. Contact adult services at 334-5279 for more information.

* At 2 p.m. Nov. 30, the Great Books series will discuss "The Rabbi's Cat" in the Hirsch Community Room. Books may be obtained from local booksellers. For more information, call the library at 334-5279 or the Center for Regional History at 651-2555.
