MARSTON, Mo. -- Noranda Aluminum broke ground on a $4.3 million change house on Wednesday.

The 20,000 square foot building will provide locker, shower and restroom facilities for all Noranda New Madrid employees who work inside the facility.

The new change house is projected to be completed in the first few months of 2012.

Each Noranda employee will be provided with multiple uniform changes and three separate lockers at no cost to the employee. The lockers include one locker for clean uniforms, one locker for dirty uniforms and one locker for street clothing.

"This is money well spent for our employees," said Frank Davis, Noranda plant manager. " Plant employees can now separate work clothes from street clothing, decreasing the cost burden of clothes cleaning for our staff."
