The Area Wide United Way and CyberTel Cellular Inc. are planning a volunteer recognition program to be held in April during National Volunteer Week.
Nomination forms have been mailed to service clubs, organizations, churches and various charitable and not-for-profit agencies in the area. The nominations must be completed and returned to the United Way office by March 28.
Volunteers will be judged in three categories: youth/young adult (25 years and under), adult (ages 26-59), and senior adult (60 years and older). A fourth category will recognize a group of organization.
Criteria for judging include volunteer efforts with an emphasis on 1993 volunteerism in a service to an organization or community.
To request a nomination form, call the United Way at 334-9634.
