A suspect was in custody after an early morning robbery Saturday at a Cape Girardeau convenience store.
Sgt. Adam Glueck with the Cape Girardeau Police Department said the robbery happened shortly after 7 a.m. Saturday at Amerimart, 1320 W. Cape Rock Drive. No weapon was seen at the time, though the alleged robber claimed to have one, Glueck said.
No one was harmed, but an undisclosed amount of cash was taken, according to Glueck.
A suspect was in custody Saturday evening, and first-degree robbery charges were pending.
