There were no injuries in a fire at Rose Concrete Products in Scott City this afternoon.

At about 12:30 p.m., fire crews responded to the batch plant, where workers mix concrete, said Scott City fire chief Jay Cassout. He said the flames caused damage throughout the plant on Rose Con Road.

Machinery inside the plant was also damaged. The equipment made it harder to get to the flames, he said.

"We couldn't get to the wall, and the fire got into the walls," he said.
