Nine students at Cape Girardeau Central High School have been named to the All-District Choir.

Students earning this award are Jennifer Kafka, Alison Nall, Gwenda Bennett, Annie Greer, Dan Lancaster, Brandon Hahs, Clayton Hahs, Chris Redfearn, and Tom Robinson.

CHS choir director Judy Williams said over 500 student from 30 Southeast Missouri schools auditioned for a place in the choir.

Auditions were held on the Southeast Missouri State University campus and included a vocal solo and sight reading before judges.

The score from this audition will be forwarded to All-State Choir competition.

On Nov. 9 the All-District Choir will perform at the CHS auditorium at 7 p.m. The performance is open to the public.
