Several local night spots are planning very special evenings for those planning to ring in 1992 in and around Cape Girardeau.
River City Yacht Club
The second annual New Year's Eve bash featuring the Jungle Dogs is planned at the River City Yacht Club at Port Cape Girardeau.
Music begins at 9 p.m. and reservations are accepted. The doors open early and the champagne will flow at midnight.
Mollie's
Party to the sounds of jazz at Mollie's New Year's Eve and you'll receive complimentary champagne and party favors at midnight.
The entertainment will be provided by John & Mimi and Beverly Reese beginning at 8:30 p.m.
Dinner will be served from 5 p.m. to midnight with your choice of lobster tail, prime rib or pork tenderloin. Reservations are recommended. A complimentary breakfast buffet will be served at 12:30 a.m.
Victoria's
The band Harrison & Company will play at Victoria's in the Holiday Inn Convention Center beginning at 8:30 p.m. on New Year's Eve. Party favors and champagne will be given out, and a breakfast buffet starts shortly after the clock strikes 12.
Jeremiah's
Reservations should be made as early as possible to spend New Year's Eve at Jeremiah's. A deejay will entertain from 7 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. and free champagne will be served at midnight.
Ragsdale's
A sound system will provide entertainment at Ragsdale's on the River Tuesday night. A cover charge of $5 includes party favors and a bottle of champagne.
Purple Crackle
Like Normal People will ring in the new year at the Purple Crackle in East Cape Girardeau, Ill. The band starts between 9 and 10 p.m. and hors d'oeuvres and champagne will be served.
Griffin's
The Blues All Stars Band will play at Griffins Tuesday night beginning at 9 p.m. Cover charge is $5 per person or $8 per couple, which includes party favors, champagne at midnight and hors d'oeuvres.
Jackson American Legion
The Golden Slippers will play golden oldies New Year's Eve at the Jackson American Legion from 8 p.m. to midnight. Reservations are suggested.
